Avalanche control work will close Hwy 1 east of Revelstoke on Saturday

Avalanche control work will have Highway 1 closed east of Revelstoke for several hours on Saturday.

DriveBC says the closure will be happening between Oak Drive in Revelstoke through to the boundary of Glacier National Park West.

🏔️⛔️#BCHwy1 - The highway will be closed in both directions tomorrow from 11am-1pm between Oak Drive and the Glacier National Park West Boundary for avalanche control work. No detour available. #Revelstoke #GlacierNationalPark

The closure will be in place from 11 am until 1 pm.

There will be no detour in place during the closure.

Anyone planning on travelling the Trans-Canada Highway should prepare for delays.
