DriveBC, which is operated by the Ministry of Transportation, said "unforeseen geotechnical circumstances" has delayed the road's reopening.
The next update is expected at 5 pm.

(Original story: June 6 at 7:08 am): The Coquihalla remains closed to northbound traffic this morning as workers seek to make emergency sink hole repairs along the highway.
DriveBC first reported the closure, between Hope and Merritt, last night.

It said there had been a washout, prompting the need for repairs.
The traffic monitor advised motorists to use Hwy 1 and Hwy 3 as alternative routes.
The next update on the highway is expected at noon.
