(UPDATE: Jan. 8 @ 2:34 pm ) – The vehicle incident on the Coquihalla has been cleared.
Drivers were being advised of major delays between Exit 250 Larson Hill and Exit 238 Juliet Rd after a semi-truck became jackknifed.
Some minor delays should be expected as congestion clears.
(Original story: Jan. 8 @ 12:30 pm) – A jackknifed semi is holding up southbound traffic on the Coquihalla (Hwy 5) early this afternoon.
DriveBC says southbound motorists should expect “major delays” due to the incident between Larson Hill and Juliet Road.

Officials have not closed Hwy 5 as of 12:30 pm, but DriveBC warns that could change.
“Be prepared to stop with a possible southbound closure on short notice,” a statement from the service explains.
What appears to be drone footage shared to the Coquihalla Road Reports Facebook group by Dan Brag shows a long line of traffic already backed up due to the incident.

DriveBC recommends taking an alternate route, which would be Hwy 3 via Hwy 5A or Hwy 1 via Hwy 8.
NowMedia will update this story as more information becomes available.
