The highway was closed for several hours on Saturday due to a vehicle incident.
DriveBC says all lanes are available in both directions.
(Original story: Oct. 19 @ 3:10 pm) – Traffic on the Trans-Canada Highway has come to a complete halt in both directions because of a vehicle incident west of Rogers Pass.
According to DriveBC, an assessment of the incident is in progress and drivers should expect the highway to be closed for multiple hours.
A highway camera and photos from the area show long lines of traffic in snowy conditions.

There currently is an Environment Canada rainfall warning in place for the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.
“An atmospheric river is taking aim at southern BC and will bring a prolonged period of heavy rain to the West Columbia and northern Arrow Lakes - Slocan regions,” reads the warning.
“Total rainfall of 50 to 100 mm is expected before tapering off by Sunday night.”
