The Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) has reopened between Spences Bridge and Cache Creek.
Although the highway has reopened, a travel advisory will remain in place due to the Shetland Creek wildfire.
Motorists are warned that wildfire activity may cause the highway to close again on short notice, so be sure to check DriveBC before travelling.
The advisory will be in place between the Hwy 1/Hwy8 junction and Cornwall Road, which is just outside Ashcroft.

On Monday, the province urged drivers to be prepared for closures with limited notice due to the evolving wildfire situaiton across the Southern Interior
As of Tuesday afternoon, Hwy 6 remains closed due to several wildfires between Nakusp and Slocan.
There is a detour in place via Hwy 31A, Hwy 31 or Hwy 3A, which will add about an hour of additional travel time.
Meanwhile in the Cariboo region, a cluster of wildfires east of Quesnel, has Hwy 26 closed near the historic Barkerville site and the District of Wells.
There is no detour in effect for this closure.
Hwy 93 is also open south of Radium Hot Springs, however, a speed reduction is in place due to a wildfire between Kootenay No 3 Rd and The Bench for 10.2 km, says DriveBC.
