Police looking for suspect, witness after Esquimalt teen sexually assaulted after getting off a bus

Police are in search of a woman who may have encountered a suspect in a sexual assault case.

Victoria Police say they are investigating the sexual assault of a teen in Esquimalt.

According to the report, the victim departed the number 15 bus in the 1100-block of Esquimalt Road on Dec. 4, 2020 at around 4 p.m.

She was then followed by a man, who sexually assaulted her. Police say the teen was able to break free.

Shortly after, the victim observed the suspect approach a second woman, who was able to get away from him.

Officers are looking to speak with this woman. She is described as a Caucasian female with blue eyes, glasses, and grey hair. She is known to be a frequent rider of the same bus that the victim was on.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, short in height with a wide build, between 60 to 70-years-old, with a comb over.

He was wearing glasses, a blazer, shirt and khakis. He was not believed to be wearing a mask.
