Renee Wasylyk is best known as a Kelowna developer. Lately, she's developed an interest in politics.
Wasylyk has announced she'll be seeking the Conservative Party of Canada's nomination in the riding of Kelowna Lake Country.
Ahead of her official announcement Wednesday, Wasylyk sat down with KelownaNow to talk about her candidacy.
In a press release on Wednesday, Wasylyk noted her building of a successful group of companies The Troika Group and her work on community boards such as The Breakfast Club of Canada.
“I am an empowering leader, a visionary community believer, with a broad base of experience, and a heart for our community and our future,” said Wasylyk in the release.
“It's time for Kelowna-Lake Country to have a voice in Ottawa, and bring our best ideas forward.”
The next federal election in Canada is in October of 2019.
