The City of West Kelowna says it has settled a new four-year labour agreement following three days of bargaining.
A news release issued Wednesday afternoon says the agreement between the city and the Association of Local Government Employees Union (ALGEU) was ratified on April 17.
The agreement will provide 155 full-time employees and 40 relief and term positions wage increases.
That includes a 4.5% increase starting Jan. 1, 2025.
A news release says that will be followed by a 5% increase in 2026 and two consecutive years with 3.5% increases.
“Other changes to the collective agreement, which ensures labour stability at the City of West Kelowna through 2027, were minor housekeeping amendments,” the city says.
Voting on the agreement happened from April 10 to 12.
