There’s a new man wearing the C on his chest for the Kelowna Rockets.
GM Bruce Hamilton announced today that Tyson Feist would be the 26th captain in Kelowna Rockets history.
Hamilton expressed excitement over the club’s choice and said that Feist brings excellent leadership skills to the locker room.

“I know he has earned the respect of his fellow teammates with his tremendous work ethic,” the GM said.
“His never-back-down attitude will spread throughout our team every day they are together.”
Feist will be the first Rocket to wear the C since Nolan Foote in early 2020, as the team elected to go with rotating alternate captains for the shortened season this past spring.
“It’s a huge honour, especially in this organization where there have been a lot of great captains,” Feist said of the appointment.

Feist is in his fourth WHL season, having spent time with the Rockets, Spokane Chiefs and Regina Pats.
He was acquired by the Rockets from the Pats in January 2020.
“Tyson exudes leadership and character,” said Rockets head coach Kris Mallette. “He will be a great example for our group both on and off the ice.”
The club has yet to name any of Feist’s alternate captains for the upcoming season, but will likely do so soon with the opening game just two days away in Victoria.
