The most successful non-boycotted Summer Olympics for Team Canada has come to a conclusion following Sunday’s closing ceremony.
Summer McIntosh and Ethan Katzberg led their Canadian teammates into the Stade de France for the event finale.

In total, 50 athletes will be returning home to Canada with medals around their necks as Canada earned 27 podium finishes.
The 27 medals won by Canada surpassed the previous best of 24 medals at a non-boycotted Summer Olympics (Tokyo 2020).

Among those finishes, Andre De Grasse tied Penny Oleksiak as Canada’s most decorated Olympian with seven career medals.
The 2028 Summer Olympics are set to take place in Los Angeles as the Games return for a third time.
But before that happens, the Paralympics will take place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 8.
