Canada’s Georges St-Pierre to announce retirement from MMA

Legendary Canadian mixed martial artist Georges St-Pierre will reportedly announce his retirement tomorrow.

A press conference in his hometown of Montreal is scheduled for Thursday, where the 37-year-old is expected to make the announcement.

St-Pierre is one of the most decorated UFC champions of all time, a three-time welterweight champion with a career record of 26-2, he also holds the third-longest individual UFC title reign of 2,064 days.

Reports indicate that GSP was in talks to fight unbeaten UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who recently defeated Conor McGregor, however the fight never materialized.

In 2013, St-Pierre retired for the first time before returning to the octagon to win the middleweight championship at UFC 217.
