The Vancouver Canucks were able to stymie their arch-nemesis Boston Bruins on Saturday night without the help of their star rookie, however, the team is still anxiously awaiting the return of Elias Pettersson.
On Monday, the Canucks announced that Pettersson took part in his second light skate, while still recovering from a concussion obtained against the Florida Panthers last week.
Pettersson is "coming along fine," said Coach Green. "Good chance he'll come on the road with us." Green said Pettersson is still in concussion protocol. pic.twitter.com/VIsFpQkJ7U

“Pettersson’s still on the concussion protocol, skating with the team,” head coach Travis Green told reporters after practice. “He’s coming along fine.”
The Canucks’ coach said there’s a “good chance” that he’ll join the team for their upcoming two-day road trip in Vegas and Arizona, so expect him to play one or both of those games if he stays symptom-free.
Defeating both the Bruins and the Pittsburg Penguins, the Canucks have fared better than expected in three games without Pettersson, who still leads the team in scoring with eight points in five games.
