Toronto Blue Jays fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the top ranked prospect in baseball, is expected to be called up by the Blue Jays this week.
According to multiple insiders, his MLB debut could come as soon as Tuesday.
“(Tuesday) has been the target since the beginning and was conveyed to Vladdy as well,” tweeted Sportsnet’s Rob Fai.
“(He) had to work toward getting healthy on a few fronts, but April 23 has been the vision since the spring.”
BLUE JAYS: Vladdy watch is 4/23 as reported. Series vs. Giants. This has been the target since the beginning and was conveyed to Vladdy as well. Had to work toward getting healthy on a few fronts but 4/23 has been the vision since the spring.

While Tuesday was always the target, other insiders have said that his debut will likely come a little later in the week.
Either way, there’s been no official word from the Blue Jays organization, but the 20-year-old should be suiting up for Toronto in the next few days.
After rehabbing from an oblique injury, Guerrero Jr. has played nine games with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons and his numbers certainly suggest he’s ready for the show.

He’s posted a .344 batting average along with two home runs and seven RBI in his short stint with the team.
Whenever he does join the lineup, he’ll be a welcome addition to a Jays team that has turned it around after a slow start.
Toronto is 7-3 over its past 10 games and is now just one game under .500.
