It was a very chilly Thanksgiving in parts of British Columbia.
According to Environment Canada, several areas recorded record low temperatures on Monday.
The agency listed the following history makers:
Bella Bella: New record of -1.6ºC; old record of 1.1ºC set in 2018
Chetwynd: New record of -7.7ºC; old record of -7.0ºC set in 2009
Port Alberni: Tied record of -2.2ºC set in 1966
Port Hardy: New record of -2.3ºC; old record of -0.6ºC set in 1966
Prince George: New record of -11.3ºC; old record of -7.0ºC set in 1992
Puntzi Mountain: New record of -15.7ºC; old record of -9.4ºC set in 1969
Quesnel: New record of -9.1ºC; old record of -7.8ºC set in 1910
Sechelt: New record of 1.4ºC; old record of 2.4ºC set in 2017
Tatlayoko Lake: New record of -12.3ºC; old record of -9ºC set in 1987
Terrace: New record of -2.8ºC; old record of -2.2ºC set in 1930
Environment Canada said the temperatures listed this morning “may contain preliminary or unofficial information” and therefore do not “constitute a complete or final report.”
