Another day, another thunderstorm watch for the Thompson-Okanagan region

Another day, another day with weather conditions that are ripe for a thunderstorm.

Environment Canada has issued another thunderstorm watch for the Okanagan and parts of the Thompson region.

A watch does not mean a thunderstorm is guaranteed to happen, it just means that the conditions in the atmosphere could lead to one.

If the weather conditions change, a thunderstorm could be possible for some parts of the Southern Interior particularly in hills and mountains surrounding valley bottoms.

If you’ve noticed there have been a lot of these watches issued this summer and are wondering why, feel free to click here to read NowMedia’s in-depth story that was posted earlier this month.

Communities included in the thunderstorm watch include Vernon, Kelowna, Merritt and Kamloops.

The watch actually extends as far Lytton and Spences Bridge.
