If you’re looking to be a part of the 2026 Memorial Cup in Kelowna but buying tickets isn’t exactly in the cards, volunteering may be the perfect solution.
Registration to volunteer at the tournament has officially opened up and it will take between 450-500 volunteers to help the event run smoothly.
“Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Memorial Cup,” said CHL president Dan MacKenzie. “Year after year, host communities rally to bring this championship to life — creating the experience that makes the Memorial Cup one of the most iconic events in hockey.”

The Kelowna-hosted Memorial Cup will run from May 21-31 and volunteer opportunities are available across a wide range of roles.
Volunteers will have access to flexible, self-serve scheduling, with the ability to sign up for morning, afternoon and evening shifts throughout the tournament.
“Kelowna has a proud tradition of stepping up for big moments, and this will be one of them,” explained Memorial Cup host committee co-chair Steve Thomson.
“We’re excited to welcome volunteers who want to play a meaningful role behind the scenes and help showcase our community’s spirit throughout the tournament.”
Thompson added that when the Memorial Cup comes to town, “it becomes a true community effort.”
