A charge has been laid against a man accused of sexually assaulting a horse at a Vernon equestrian centre in January.
According to BC court documents, 34-year-old Seth Justin Christian has been charged with bestiality in connection to the incident.
He’ll be back in court on Monday, March 30, following multiple brief appearances in Vernon Provincial Court this week.

The alleged incident happened in the early hours of Jan. 24 at Abigail Equestrian, which is owned by Erica Van Meenen.
Van Meenen went public with the allegations on social media later that day, claiming that the assault was of a sexual nature.
She provided several photos and videos from security footage and the viral post resulted in a lot of information being provided to the RCMP by the public.
On Jan. 26, police said they had identified a suspect in connection to a “criminal offence” that occurred in an enclosed animal pen on Van Meenen’s property.
Christian was arrested later that day, but released at the time pending further investigation.
