They’re very analytical at Superflux Beer Company.
“We made it once, watched it disappear, and decided that was enough data.”
That’s their explanation for bringing back the wildly-popular Creamery Strawberry Cheesecake and that’s good enough for me!
It was the first beer they ever released as part of their Creamery series and it’s making a return this spring, just in time to enjoy over the Easter long weekend.
The Vancouver brewery says this one is brewed with strawberry, vanilla, graham crumb, cheesecake and milk sugar.
“It tastes exactly like that, which is the result we were aiming for,” a post from Superflux says.
There is a light dry hop in the beer, but don’t think that instantly pushes it into IPA territory.
According to Superflux, the purpose of the dry hop is to mimic some of the tart notes that you’d get from cheesecake, and it “makes the whole thing make sense.”
Coming in at 5.5% ABV (alcohol by volume) the Creamery Strawberry Cheesecake is one you don’t want to miss out on this spring if you’re a fan of unique beers.
Finding it outside of the Lower Mainland may prove a bit difficult, but you can check out their store partners in your city here and call around to see who has ordered this fun creation.
