A pair of youths have been charged in connection to a stabbing at a high school basketball game in Vancouver last month.
The incident happened at Eric Hamber Secondary School as the game was wrapping up shortly after 9 pm on Feb. 2.
At the time, Vancouver Police (VPD) said a fight between spectators led to an 18-year-old boy being stabbed in the arm.
The BC Prosecution Service has now approved charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose against a 16-year-old, as well as one count of assault with a weapon against a 15-year-old.
The VPD says both youths have been released from custody on court-ordered conditions.
Officers from the VPD’s Youth Investigative and School Liaison units worked together to identify the two suspects and make the arrests.
