Dolman had been serving a life sentence at Pacific Institution for the May 2016 murder of Robert Splitt.

According to the Chilliwack Progress, Dolman stabbed Splitt 52 times in front of a Chilliwack grocery store on May 3, 2016.

He had been serving his life sentence since December 2017.

As is the case with all inmate deaths, the CSC will review the circumstances surrounding it.
