No mid-life crisis necessary for BC man thanks to $1M ‘mid-life gift’

Dec. 10, 2025, will be a morning that Adam Snider remembers forever.

He says he got up at 5 am with his wife and golden retriever Gary, just like any other day, but remember he had a Lotto Max ticket to check.

Snider opened up his PlayNow account and saw a bunch of numbers at the top of the page – he had won a $1-million prize.

Of course, Snider’s wife and his furry friend Gary were the first to find out about the life-changing win that morning.

“I ran to tell my wife. She was in shock at first, but then was fired up about the win,” Snider explained.

“This win makes things easier. It provides me with a clear path to retirement and allows me to buy property. It’s a nice mid-life gift!”

Long-term investments around retirement and property are great, but Snider will also be enjoying the fruits of his win on an upcoming vacation.

“I’m going to Europe next year for a wedding and will now be able to splurge,” he noted.

BC lottery players have redeemed more than $243 million from Lotto Max so far in 2025 and there are just three draws left this year on Tuesday, Dec. 23, Friday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Dec. 30.
