AbbyPD received the first report of the allegedly impaired driver around 4:30 pm, learning that he had “struck two vehicles in the Langley area.”
The man fled the scene, the police debrief explained, but a second report came in regarding the same vehicle “driving erratically” in the Bradner Road area just north of Hwy 1.
AbbyPD officers tracked down the vehicle on Hwy 11 around 6 pm. The man is now facing criminal charges.
Impaired driving needs to stop – full stop,” the AbbyPD release exclaimed.
“Every time someone chooses to drive under the influence, they put lives at risk: innocent motorists, the entire community and their passengers. There is no excuse, and there is no scenario where it’s worth the risk.”
Police provided no further information on whether the children were removed from the man’s care.
