A 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty March 13 in Prince George Provincial Court to sexual assault and invitation to sexual touching, after admitting he coerced an eight-year-old girl to perform sex acts.
The identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Crown prosecutor Rodney Withall read an agreed statement of facts that said the boy admitted he committed the crimes on three occasions between Sept. 4, 2023 and May 7, 2025 in Prince George.
Withall said it was the “younger brother who reported to his mother” that her older son was showing inappropriate videos on a computer to the girl in the basement.
The girl also reported that he made her perform oral sex. When confronted by a parent, he admitted that he would buy her something if he did so.
He also admitted bringing the family dog to the basement and having it lick the girl’s private parts.
Judge Charles Hutchinson ensured the boy understood the charges and agreed to the facts, before confirming that the guilty plea meant he waived the right to a trial. The boy answered yes.
Hutchinson released the boy on conditions that he have no contact with the victim, stay away from a specific address and report to a bail officer.
Hutchinson also ordered a pre-sentencing report and a forensic psychiatric risk assessment for sexual violence towards children. The boy’s next date in court is May 13.
