Megan Oldham and Courtney Sarault have very much put themselves in the discussion for who should be Canada’s flagbearer(s) at the Olympic closing ceremony.
They’ve now both won multiple medals at Milano Cortina 2026 following impressive performances during Monday’s action.
Megan Oldham won gold in the women’s freestyle skiing big air competition, adding to the bronze medal she won in slopestyle a week ago.
In the final, the two best scores out of three jumps count towards each athlete's score and Oldham’s first two jumps were so impressive she didn’t even need to land her final attempt.

Courtney Sarault was back at it at the short track speed skating oval, winning silver in the 1000m race. She now has three total medals after winning silver in the mixed relay and bronze in the 500m.
In women’s hockey, Canada held off Switzerland 2-1 to advance to Thursday’s gold medal game. They’ll take on a familiar foe – the Americans – who have cruised through the competition including a 5-0 win over Canada last week.
It was a successful day of curling for Canada’s two teams, with Brad Jacobs’ rink convincingly beating Czechia 8-2 to move to 5-1 in the round robin and Rachel Homan’s rink winning twice to keep their medal hopes alive.
Canada will have a medal chance on Tuesday in the women’s long track speed skating team pursuit. The men’s short track speed skating 5000m relay team advanced through a chaotic semifinal race on Monday and will skate for gold on Friday.
Canada currently has two golds, four silvers and five bronzes for 11 total medals at Milano Cortina 2026.
