Seahawks defeat Patriots in Super Bowl with another dominant defensive performance

After 11 years, the Seattle Seahawks got some revenge for the heartbreaking loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 49.

This time it didn't come down to a last-minute play. Instead, Super Bowl 60 ended with a convincing 29-13 Hawks victory over the Pats.

Seattle won on the back of a dominant defensive performance, but the defense for both teams showed up to play.

Jason Myers was the only player to score points through three quarters. The Seahawks kicker had a field goal in the first quarter, two in the second quarter and another in the third quarter to give Seattle a 12-0 lead.

AJ Barner finally scored the first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter, which seemed to open things up as the Seahawks took a 19-0 lead.

Just over a minute later, a 35-yard touchdown pass from Drake Maye to Mack Hollins cut into the deficit.

Myers extended the lead to 22-7 with another field goal and a Uchena Nwosu pick six put things out of reach at 29-7. A garbage time touchdown by Rhamondre Stevenson brought things to the 29-13 final score.

Kenneth Walker won Super Bowl MVP on the back of 135 yards rushing and 26 more through the air. Sam Darnold threw for 202 yards and completed the post-season with no turnovers as he put a stamp on his incredible career turnaround.

This is the second Super Bowl victory in Seattle's franchise history. The first came in Super Bowl 48 against the Denver Broncos 12 years ago.
