Kelowna smashes temperature record on the first day of spring

Friday was the first day of spring and boy did it ever feel that way.

It hit 18.9°C in Kelowna, which marks the hottest March 20 in the Central Okanagan city since records started to be kept in 1899.

It smashed the previous record of 17.4°C, which was set just two years ago in 2024.
