Nearly four years after Jean-Luc Noel Levesque was found dead in Castlegar, the investigation has produced charges against his alleged killers.
The RCMP has announced that Jesse Pierre Farmery, Wesley Ryan Poohachoff and Christopher John Teather were arrested on Friday, April 24.
Farmery has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to Levesque’s death, while Poohachoff and Teather are both facing manslaughter charges.
“This investigation was of significant interest to the residents of Castlegar, and we recognize the impact it has had on the victim’s family, friends and the broader community,” said Sgt. Monty Taylor. “We appreciate the community’s patience throughout the investigation.”

Levesque, 51, was found unresponsive outside the CIBC bank on Columbia Avenue in Castlegar on Aug. 11, 2022.
According to the RCMP, he was not a resident of the community and was believed to have travelled to Castlegar prior to his death.
“It is believed to have been a targeted incident,” noted an RCMP release.
The BC RCMP E-Division Major Crime Section led the investigation with support from the Castlegar RCMP throughout the nearly four-year probe.
“The BC RCMP Major Crime program committed significant resources to this investigation to enhance public safety in the region,” explained Supt. Sanjaya Wijayakoon.
As the matter is now before the courts, no further information will be released by police.
