Just in time for the Okanagan Fest of Ale this weekend, Cannery Brewing released its latest beer on Friday.
The Tropical Hazy Pale Ale is the Penticton brewery’s Babe Brew for 2026, following up on their successful Mango Milkshake IPA from last year.
That creation was 8.5% ABV (alcohol by volume), and this year’s is a little more manageable at 5.5% ABV.
Brewed with Australian Galaxy hops to go along with passionfruit and guava fruit terpenes, this one is perfect for spring sipping.

While Cannery debuted this one for lucky patrons at Fest of Ale, it will be available at liquor stores in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan in the days ahead.
If you end up seeing it on the shelves of your favourite liquor store and buy a four pack to take home, you’ll be supporting a wonderful charitable cause.
Funds raised by this Babe Brew will support the Beer Babes Family, a North American charitable organization that strives to support and positively engage all women in the beer industry.
“We are so inspired by their mission and goals,” Cannery co-founder and general manager Patt Dyck said about the Beer Babes Family.
“This family represents a global, inclusive community for all women in the beer industry. It is exciting to join them on this fundraising journey that supports craft beer women and the beers that we enjoy."
