(UPDATE: Apil 26 @ 8 am) - The man reported missing in Kamloops on Thursday evening has been found.
In the initial appeal for information, police said the 61-year-old had recently moved to Kamloops and may have been trying to return to his previous residence in Vernon.
However, no details were provided on where the man was found.
His photo has been removed from the story at the request of the RCMP.
(Original story: April 23 @ 5 am) - The Kamloops RCMP is making a public appeal for information that could help track down a missing man.
Gene Siedekum was last seen in the 300 block of Columbia Street, around Royal Inland Hospital, shortly before noon on Tuesday, April 20.
Police say there’s a chance he’s trying to leave the city.
“Gene recently moved to Kamloops and may attempt to return to Vernon where he most recently resided,” explained S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet. “We are asking the public to share his photo to assist us in locating him.”
The RCMP provided the following description of Siedekum:
He was last seen wearing a black Adidas zip-up jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, grey pants and black running shoes.
