If your travel plans are set to take you between Revelstoke and Golden this weekend, you may be in for a longer drive than planned.
Construction work on the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) just west of Rogers Pass will result in intermittent closures of the major route over the coming days.
The delays will vary depending on the time of day, but they will happen at all hours.
You can expect 30-minute closures 24 hours a day. Two-hour closures are possible between 6-8 am with the exception of Sunday when that window is 1-3 am.
According to DriveBC, the construction work will be ongoing until Tuesday, April 14.
